Kennebunk Savings Bank Operations Center – Kennebunk, Maine

The Design Challenge : To transform and modernize a historic building to meet the needs of a growing company while emphasizing workplace synergy and customer experience.

Employee wellness, collaboration, modernization were the most important themes of this project, challenging us to create a state of the art facility in what was formerly the historic William Arthur Building. The bank sought to consolidate multiple offices from across town into one synergistic workplace, giving us the task of accommodating their 150 employees in collaborative spaces. We approached the project with a holistic and layered approach, creating settings and zones that encourage engagement and creativity. We delivered the vision with sit/stand desking, a 40’x120’ open aired courtyard, cafeteria and fitness center. In the bright and new office setting, no spaces are off limits, and employees feel encouraged to use them all to support their work.
