Katahdin Trust, Scarborough, Maine

The Design Challenge: To renovate and bring new life to an existing building, with a focus on designing a new location and retail branch for Katahdin Trust.

The branch design focused on modernizing the space but keeping the design clean and classic, appealing to both Katahdin’s commercial and corporate customers.

Katahdin’s Brand color palette was incorporated using felted panels in a mix of green tones, highlighting the 3-dimensional white acrylic letters. This feature wall is intentionally located at the entrance both setting the tone and greeting customers as soon as they open the door.

When designing the waiting area rich walnut wood tones were incorporated to create a warm and welcoming space. The richness of the wood created the perfect backdrop for the featured original art piece painted by a local Maine artist.
