The Design Challenge
To design a sophisticated yet playful new headquarters for a unique educational preparatory business in the physical therapy sector.
For this project, Bowerbird Designs teamed up with Kevin Brown Architecture to create a new headquarters for Scorebuilders, the brainchild of design-savvy business partners / husband and wife duo, Scott and Traci Giles.
Scorebuilders specializes in publishing comprehensive study resources, helping students to prepare for the National Physical Therapy Licensing exams. Throughout the last decade, founders Scott and Traci Giles have developed and expanded their business, allowing them to move from their home office to a new 5,000 square foot state of the art building in the heart of Scarborough Downs’ new commercial district. The Giles’ niche business required the right combination of location and aesthetic to refine their brand and allow for growth.
From the architecture and interiors to the landscaping, our team created a polished space complete with industrial, sleek, and modern details. An expansive entryway greets visitors with high black painted exposed ceilings, contrasted by light birch woods and bold industrial light fixtures. Polished concrete floors highlight the space’s modern style, while patterned carpet accents add playful intrigue, custom graphics in the library add playfulness, reflecting the founders’ energetic personalities. The clean lines and timeless design of this spacious and airy new headquarters will allow Scorebuilders to continue growing their innovative business.
